On Monday PCSO Raven attended Beaufort Primary School to begin this years @derbyshireconstabulary Mini Police programme with the Year 5 children. It was great to meet all our new mini police officers for this academic year, explaining a little about what they will be learning and activities planned for future sessions. They also got to design a Mini Police logo and speak to their classmates to learn a bit more about each other by using their communication and listening skills!
This afternoon, PCSO Raven and PC Ripley were carrying out patrols outside Cavendish Close Infants school to ensure drivers were parking safely and legally. Thank you to all those who said hello and to those drivers who are adhering to the white zig zag road markings, that mean you are not permitted to park or stop your vehicle within these markings at any time. The main purpose for these markings is to ensure clear visibility for pedestrians and approaching traffic, preventing accidents by keeping the area free from obstructions. Failing to comply with this can lead to a fine and/or three penalty points on your driving licence.
At these buy times of the day please keep everyone safe on their journey to and from school by parking sensibly and pay attention to any parking restrictions.
